Stout Risius Ross, Inc. Selects LexisNexis Interface Software for CRM

Financial advisory firm will use InterAction® as a resource for tracking client success

OAK BROOK (IL), 25 October, 2005. LexisNexis Interface Software announced today that financial services firm, Stout Risius Ross, Inc. (SRR), has selected InterAction® to enhance business development and strengthen marketing outreach for its three service lines: Investment Banking, Restructuring & Performance Improvement and Valuation & Litigation Advisory Services. Replacing SRR's existing CRM program, InterAction will be deployed to help deepen the firm's relationships with professionals and clients.

"In the past, we knew our employees had a far reaching network of valuable relationships, but determining how to make the most out of them was difficult," said Peter Stenger, a Director in the Restructuring & Performance Improvement Group at SRR. "InterAction will give us the foundation to share knowledge more fluidly between offices and cross-sell between divisions easily."

With offices in several cities, in the past five years SRR has experienced significant growth, increasing its workforce by more than 400 percent. To effectively manage that growth, a major priority in the firm's CRM search was ensuring the new system could streamline operational processes while delivering highly- targeted results.

Prior to selecting InterAction, SRR had separate CRM databases in three of its four offices. This created data silos, requiring the in-house IT team to synchronize data between offices, often causing vital information to be lost or duplicated in the process. "We felt InterAction would be easy to implement firm-wide and would not cause disruption to the workforce," said Michael Kern, a Managing Director and the firm's COO.

With more than 27,000 contacts in its database, SRR felt it had the relationships to forge valuable partnerships and make highly targeted introductions on behalf of its clients. However, the firm lacked an easy-to-navigate system that would maximize such potential. "InterAction will make that process easier by helping professionals better leverage their contacts across all firm divisions," explained Stenger.

SRR also wanted a CRM solution that would make it easy to track marketing efforts. InterAction will allow SRR's marketing department to track its various strategic campaigns and measure the effectiveness of each initiative. "Our old system limited us in defining who our clients really were and how we could best reach them," explained Stenger. "With InterAction in place, we can more discreetly identify the needs of existing and potential clients to deliver the most targeted information strategically."

Other key InterAction features that SRR will leverage include Who Knows Whom™ and Relationship Map™. Using Who Knows Whom, SRR's professionals can determine who else within the firm knows a contact and the nature and strength of that relationship. Relationship Map takes that benefit even further by identifying and leveraging the extended network of relationships that exist among firm members, colleagues and other contacts known to the firm. "InterAction will help us uncover subtle interrelationships between clients and contacts that would otherwise be difficult to ascertain," said Stenger.

"Financial services organizations like SRR need CRM solutions designed for how they do business," said Barry Solomon, executive vice president of LexisNexis Interface Software. "InterAction will help SRR manage its most important asset — client relationships — helping to ensure the most appropriate people are brought in to help make deals happen."
